A MAJOR EVENT..THE WORKSHOP OF A BRAND NEW MUSICAL WWW.SUPERNOVATHEMUSICAL.COM AT ONE OF THE BIGGEST WEST END THEATRES IN LONDON
We've had Xfactor, Dream Girls, Britain's Got Talent & we're awash in reality TV.
We live in a society where EVERYONE wants to be famous, we all have dreams & want to live life like the stars we think we know & who inspire us every day.
Warner Bros has green lit an updated adaptation of the 1992 hit action romance The Bodyguard starring Rihanna with Beyonce due to star in Clint Eastwood's remake of Judy Garland's A Star Is Born, being produced by Warner Bros.
Although Supernova touches on both subjects it is still an original idea and just shows how on trend the project actually is.
Concept album by top west end stars is available as a double CD for producers and other investors to hear. Please visit the website at www.supernovathemusical.com to hear songs by Hannah Waddingham and Alison Jiear
I am a professional actor & writer presently in the west end musical Jersey Boys with 25 years experience and it is my wish to use a top LONDON WEST END THEATRE and 16 professionals to mount a ONE OFF ONE DAY WORKSHOP following 2 weeks intensive rehearsals of www.supernovathemusical.com, fully staged with costume, lights, sound and choreography to an invited only audience of producers, directors and possible investors including those who helped fund the project at wefund.
My plan is to use a top recording artists in the lead role with the rest of the cast made up of performers from all the other hit shows now running in the west end. I intend to do the workshop this year.
Finance would be used to pay the cast, directors, choreographer, theatre staff and for the hire of a video wall and operator with graphics provided by the company who did the epk DVD.
Please note the cost of this workshop would be more if I had to pay live musicians but all the backing tracks already exist due to making the album first which has already cost me personally in excess of 6,000 pounds.

PLOT
The story of a girl who found love and became an Internet singing sensation... a star is born 2011 style
There is a gunshot but who is the shooter and who are they aiming for?
We go back in time (2 years) The Rock group Nova, brothers Tony and Mike are coming to the end of a hugely successful tour but Tony doesn't want it to stop so he can carry on partying and Mike wants to write new stuff and try for a solo career. So their manager Glen finds a new artist, Alesha and using all modern day social media begins to makes her the world’s biggest internet star. We watch the process from auditions, dancers, rehearsals, costume, makeup, interviews and photo shoots, culminating in a stadium performance at a major awards ceremony
Joy and Sky, friends from school, are Aleshas backing dancers and singers with Eddie her long time agent who finally gets a taste of the high life, entering a world of gambling and drugs which send Aleshas finances and friendships out of control.
Alesha finds love with Mike but Joy’s relationship with Tony ends when both of them hit rock bottom & Sky seems to relish the constant attention and becomes Glens P.A. as it becomes clear there are major problems, she seems to be the only one in control...
Set in a rock star world they all deal with the pressure and constant media attention especially from the fans who then get too close...when one of them wins a competition to see the last Nova concert that ends in chaos… the steady stream of z list celebrities all wanting to cash in on Aleshas Success.
But all is not what it seems in www.supernovathemusical.com..............
I find it odd that throughout history musicals have always represented the culture & mood of the time and with the advent of Jesus Christ Superstar we saw music and lyrics for a new generation, yet this hasn’t happened recently...
Using a mixture of contemporary rock, pop and R & B this show finally brings the sound of now and the success of the internet onto the stage in what promises to bring music in theatre well and truly into the present day. Combining hit television shows, pop concerts and film musicals, whilst trying to bridge the gap between an arena rock show and the quick fire editing of a pop video, this remarkable piece still manages to combine the language of now with old school musical traditions.
