Ingo and Wotever (Queer Art & Culture)need a new computer.

The old one died and as a lot what I do for and with Wotever is based on line, via digital photos and footage that I archive and share, a lot of time is spent working on a computer. This is in it self slightly contradictory as the aim is to make people meet each other and share experiences with each other. In Real Life.

Wotever create a space where mainly LGBT and Queer people meet. Weekly at Bar Wotever in London, but also elsewhere now and then at events, parties, workshops and shows.

A computer (aim is for a MacBook Pro) is needed to keep Wotever going, our archive of queer live performance art and music alive and shared via our youtube channel, plus to keep in touch with all Wotevers even when they are not in London and can come and see us live.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for helping.

Hopefully see you soon (again)!

Love & Respect,

Ingo

Gratitude

Posted on 13/01/2012

Yesterday I went and saw two exhibitions at Wellcome Collection, Infinitas Gracias: Mexican miracle paintings and Felicity Powell: Charmed Life, both amazingly beautiful and thought provoking. Thoughts about What is important in life, and what are we grateful for. This I did the same day this fundraiser went live and I for the first time ever had to ask for help in this manner. Believe me, it is not easy, but thanks to plenty of clever people who have encouraged me, and said that sometimes it is ok to ask for help Im doing so. And who knows what saint I will thank after with a possible votive painting.... Are there any queer Saints? Anyhow, I was deeply touch by the exhibitions and I am very moved and thankful for all of you who already have donated and contributed. 5% reached after the first day is not bad at all. Here is the link to the exhibition, go if you can. It is free and it runs til 26th Feb. http://www.wellcomecollection.org/whats-on/exhibitions/miracles--charms.aspx

Scared and live?

This has been tough, to go out and ask for help, but the need is def there as this morning when trying to finalise this, the little netbook I'm currently are using, a, first froze with a buzzing sound... then after restart, waiting and uploading to ok forever to use. Meaning almost an hour went with not being able to work. Then I got a phone call from a dear friend, so all not total bad. And now I'm up and running again.... Have a Happy Bleak January Monday, and see you soon. Ingo x
