The Young Rogues are a group of budding young actors from a variety of backgrounds. With acting as our passion, we are the young section of the Birmingham based Theatre Company, RoguePlay Theatre. RoguePlay lead acting workshops for us every week and we are represented by a casting agency named The Young Actors Company.

We perform a lot on stage, having recently taken our own devised piece to ArtFest, Birmingham and the International Youth Arts Festival, Kingston. Now we want to get into film and TV, and for that we would be at a massive advantage if we were profiled in the Spotlight Casting Directory.

Spotlight is like the yellow pages for actors and it is distributed to all the casting directors across the country. Our agent, The Young Actors Company, has been working with young people in film and Tv for nearly 30 years and they receive castings and auditions from a number of film and TV companies. However, at least 50% of these calls are for actors in Spotlight only.

We feel we are missing out on a large amount of roles that at the moment we cannot even be put forward to audition for. By gaining a profile in Spotlight, we will be furthering our acting opportunities and this is what we really want in order to pursue acting as a professional career.

Spotlight entry costs £115 each(including administration costs of our agency). There are 15 of us Young Rogues who would all like to be in it. We have a great dynamic as a group and so we are looking for 'Wefunders' to help us all gain a profile in the casting directory. We a looking for a project total therefore of £1725.

As a reward to our funders we would like to offer free tickets to our upcoming shows and updates on the roles and auditions we have received as a result of our Spotlight entries. For those making larger bids we will offer logo and name representation on the RoguePlay Theatre website, and even a photo collection from our end of term showcase.
