We are an aerobatic display act that brings a smile to many thousands of people in the course of a year at both public and private displays - including weddings.
We always operate at a loss to ensure that no-one is prevented from having their very own fantastic display.
In 2012 however, there are severe air space restrictions around much of the southern UK as a result of UK security measures surrounding the Olympics.
This small fish is suffering as a result.
Our aircraft does not have a piece of equipment called a "Transponder" that makes us highly visible on radar. A transponder is a required item to enable flight within the Olympic restricted airspace (almost all of the southern UK surrounding London).

Without it, we won't be able to either perform displays for people who live within that airspace, nor will we be able to get to people the other side of the airspace (without a VERY significant detour around the southern coast of the UK from our base at Elmsett, near Ipswich!).
This project is to try and raise the funds required for the purchase and fitting of a transponder to G-BXJB (the display aircrafty - a Yak52). This expense has not been budgeted for - and yet without it - we won't be able to bring the smile to peoples faces in 2012!
We're not asking much - just a little help from our like-minded friends.
