Servus!
Our ambition is to bring freestyle skiing and snowboarding to summer, so that every kid and young-at-heart wintersportperson, who loves his sport as much as we do, isn't tied to winter season no more.
We want to set up a terrain park, like the one's you may know from your local skiresort, with several different obstacles for freestyle skiiers and snowboarders, but in summer. This is made possible with a special kind of plastic mats, which allow you to ride your skis or snowboard in dry conditions quite similar to how you do it on snow.
It is located in Oberaudorf, a small town in Bavaria near the Austrian border, which is less than an hour drive from the 3 mountain state capitals: Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck.
This park will be unique in the German speaking part of the alps and it's going to be free to use!
We are a group of 6 students from Germany and Switzerland and we want to realize this non-profit project to give the large snow-freestyle community in Tyrol, Bavaria and Salzburg a place where they can enjoy their sport in summer, hang out, have fun and to support the progression of the sports.
The name OASE, which is the german word for oasis, concludes from the special conception of the project. The terrainpark in which skiers and snowboarders will practice their tricks is surrounded by a beach and chill-out area. This underlines the contrast between the winter sports and summer.
To keep it free of charge and to build up the max amount of Obstacles we need your help!
With 4000 GBP we are able to set up a basic set of approx. 4-6 obstacles and of course the chill out area etc.
As it is a non-profit project, every penny will go into the infrastructure of the OASE and also every cent on top of the 4000 GBP target will be used to set up more obstacles!
Thank you!
P. S.: If you are working for a company, which is interested in supporting us and take the advantages of marketing in a young target group, we can offer you special packages including branding, communication work and more. Feel free to contact us at jacques@alpen-oase.eu
