Who?
The Half Door Theatre is a self-funded theatre company, based in London. This newly formed company aims to always put the audience experience at the heart of their work. Artistic Director, Jane Moriarty, speaks in the video.

What?
In Half Door’s inaugural production, Night of January 16th by Ayn Rand, members of the audience become the Jury and decide the verdict of this sensational murder trial.
You have an opportunity to be on this Jury, and decide the outcome of the play!

A smash hit on Broadway in the 1930s, the play is set in a New York court-room, and focuses on the death of Bjorn Faulkner, an international business tycoon. The woman accused of his murder is Karen Andre, his secretary-mistress of 10 years. As we learn about the dead man, the witnesses and what happened on the Night of January 16th, it becomes clear that it is not the man or his mistress who are on trial, but the audience themselves.
Ayn Rand is most famous for her best-selling novels, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged and for developing a philosophical system called Objectivism.

When and where?
The production will take place between 31st January and 25th February 2012 in the critically acclaimed White Bear Theatre in London. Rehearsals will take place throughout January, and you will be able to follow the trials and tribulations on facebook and twitter.

How can you get involved?
Your support is vital for this production, as Half Door Theatre does not currently receive funding from any organisation, council or charity.
Your support will directly fund:
- Set design, construction and props
- Costumes and maintenance (for a cast of 15)
- Publicity, printing of posters and fliers and

In return for your support Half Door Theatre offer various rewards, including the unique opportunity to be on the official jury for the trial!

How does it work?
Pledge any amount of money to the fund. If there is enough support and the target is reached, you will receive your rewards (see details on the right). However, if the target is not met, no money will be drawn for your account, and the production will not receive any funds. Let’s reach the target together, so that you can get your rewards and be part of a great show!
