A struggling troupe of actors arrives in a poor, rural town, intent on performing a play. However their lives are transformed when an apparent stranger enters their midst and draws them into acts of sacrifice, betrayal and revenge.
Atmospheric and engaging with a folkloric twist, this play mixes the ordinary with the extraordinary, truth with illusion, and despair with salvation, to reveal something both human and magical.
Nameless Theatre is committed to making theatre that tells simple stories of the Everyman with art and sensitivity. We believe Miracle, by Reza de Wet, enables us do this, as it is a modern classic with an eternal story.
At the core of Nameless Theatre are two individuals who wanted to make theatre. Between us we have a wealth of experience and we wanted to put it to use. We were tired of sitting and talking about how much we wanted to create something. So we decided to do it. Simple as that. Blind faith has carried us so far and now we need your help.
We need your help to pay for the venue, the props, the costume and the set. This money is not for us; we want to pay our creative team and we want to pay our actors. There are so many talented people out there who give their time freely, simply for the love of what they do: we wanted to make sure that we were rewarding our team for their hard, professional work. Please help us do this.
Thank you,
James and Maya
