Rhiannon Faith:dancingtheatre presents: GOLDEN BOHEMIAN
Golden Bohemian is a collective effort from several artists that aims at bridging a gap between dance, music and theatre by creating an interactive experience that will take the audience from the bohemian spirit of the 1920s into today's underground culture. The event is going to take place on the 2nd and 3rd of March at Fourth Floor Studios, an impressive 3,000 sq ft venue located at the heart of East London. Other artists involved include bands such as Charleston, Adore, Indigo Earth, Horrorshow and musician Oliver Darling. The art displays will exhibit the work of Merlyn Griffiths and the group exhibition of ‘/10 Artists/10 Pubs/’. Stalls and fashion rails will sell the work of Florrie Thomas and Sophie Harris.
OUR ETHOS
The Rhiannon Faith:dancingtheatre generates dance/theatre which is accessible to a widely diverse audience and which will reach out and excite new audiences. The companies work becomes relatable to an audience’s own experiential behaviour by exposing human interaction, social relevance and observations of specific behaviours, using bold humour, layered with excitingly bright and sometimes tensely inventive detailed choreography which intrinsically unifies the thematic context. The work bridges a gap between dance and theatre and provides a beautiful medium between the two. The work addresses universal issues which relate to all in terms of content. With fast physical contact work fused with intelligent and sexy narratives and rock and roll music, the company strives to document the changing scene, as Dylan taught us ‘The times are a changin’.
WHAT WE NEED
Although we have a fantastic venue, we are all creating this show with a teeny tiny budget and really need help to raise money for set, costumes and refreshments. We want the artistes to have a fantastic platform to show their work and for the audience to really emerge themselves in this display of multidisciplinary art.
Funding this project means you will be allowing a new, fresh and diverse company to continue with their work and encourage artists to showcase with us. You will also be helping theatre to survive and for audiences to experience exciting and fresh ideas to strive for the the survival of live arts!
