Bit about me…
From 9 years of age I started winning summer talent contests in Scotland singing Bob Dylan and Joan Baez protest songs, I think I stood out because all of the other kids were singing ‘Nobody’s child’ and Julie Andrews hits. Dylan’s ‘Like a rollin’ stone’ was the first 45 single I bought - at 8 years old!

I’m still singing about the world and what matters and why we need to change it. At the end of my gigs, audiences tell me that they are deeply moved by the messages in my songs. I’m a vessel that lyrics come through; it’s a spiritual experience.

Why am I on we fund?
Since the release of my recent debut single, I have gained the support of internationally renowned Engineer / Producer Wes Maebe.
In the last few months, the project has really taken off. My songs are attracting the attention of world- class industry professionals and musicians
The sticking point?

Artistes including Elliott Randall (Steely Dan and Doobie Brothers fame) and Ralph Salmins (Madonna, Sting) haven't charged me for playing on the tracks, purely because they love the songs and have wanted to be part of the project, but that doesn't help me get it to press!

So far, I have been financing Raie’s recording, production, administration and publicity support over the last few years – I’m always broke because every penny I have goes to the project!

So my ‘we fund’ application will fund the production, pressing, packaging and distribution of my first EP Earthbound!

The music
I love performing live with my band – we are an extended family and have recently played at venues including: Ronnie Scots, The Forge, Club Floridita and Hammersmith Apollo to name a few.

Talk about being versatile… we can present a duo for an intimate setting (voice and piano) or trio (with double bass). For bigger venues, we go all out with a full eight piece band including horns, percussion and background vocals.
