We are Superbolt Theatre. A new company of graduates from the Jacques Lecoq Theatre School in Paris. We are raising money for our first production which we will perform in October of 2011 in London.
Based on the true story of a small town in Pennsylvania, Centralia explores what happens to society when the world is crashing down around you. In the 1960’s an underground coal fire was sparked by an accident. 20 years later the fire still was still burning and the inhabitants of Centralia were forced to relocate by the government. 7 people refused and stayed in their homes. Our show is about them.
Using the skills we’ve acquired at the theatre school along with our collective experience we aim to create a piece that is both entertaining and provocative. As a company we have people from six different countries which gives us a rich cultural background from which to draw upon.
We are asking for your help to raise £2000 to fund this show. This money will go towards hiring the venue, hiring a rehearsal space, paying technicians, travel, scenography and costumes. Please help us in making our first venture as a company a reality by giving whatever you can. All donations will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about our company and our show. We look forward to seeing you in the audience and thank you in advance for all your help.
