Bound follows the fortunes of six trawlermen from Devon as they embark on their final voyage. Compelled by the threat of bankruptcy, ageing fishing trawler ‘The Violet’ is forced out into treacherous weather. Defying storms, friendships and their lives ashore, will they lose more than a way of life?

Bear Trap premiered Bound at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010 to critical acclaim and won a host of awards including a Fringe First. It went on to headline the Holden Street Theatres at the Adelaide Fringe and a National Tour of the UK and Ireland swiftly followed. Bound now returns to London for a months run at Southwark Playhouse.

Bear Trap is a multi-award winning young theatre company dedicated to creating classically inspired new work. Formed in 2010 by Jesse Briton and Joe Darke, Bear Trap crafts bold stories with heart, runs educational workshops and sing songs your grandfather would like.

Even with such accolades, for a company in its infancy funding is hard to come by. We now need a further £500, which will go towards the production costs of our London Run.
