Creatve Electric is an arts organisation based in Edinburgh. We aim to provide a safe, positive space for young people to explore and express themselves supported by experienced, professional artists and youth workers. Creative Electric supports young people who wouldn't necessarily fit into a mainstream youth theatre or art project to create work based on their personal experiences.
Creative Electric have been invited to perform their theatre installation Are You Looking at My Context?! at UNG08 and STOFF Festivals in Stockholm.
Are You Looking at My Context?! is a 40 minute performance that starts with a human graffiti wall and could end up absolutely anywhere... It explores behaviour and how this can be viewed in different contexts.
Creative Electric is one of only 30 companies (out of 822 from 49 different countries) to have been invited to perform at STOFF.
Its an amazing opportunity for us. We're really excited. Why? Because we're four young people who are being pitched against professional artists. We're supported by experienced professional artists and youth workers but ultimately the work we create is our own. To be invited to showcase this work in Stockholm is an opportunity that we didn't ever think we'd be offered. Please help us make it become a reality.
We're raising money to cover the costs of flights, accomodation and meals. We're also trying to raise funds to cover costs of youth workers who will support us while we're in Stockholm.
