Interval Productions Proudly Presents the World Premiere of a re-worked version of 'AFTER THE TURN', featuring the songs of Tim Prottey-Jones and a book by Sarah Henley. Featuring, Ashleigh Gray, Liam Doyle, Tori Allen-Martin, Greg Oliver and Stephen Rolley.
This is a British pop-rock musical featuring songs that have appeared on both of Tim's albums, More with Every Line and Surrounded by the Sounds, as well as new material, written especially for this production, and for this cast.
Greg Oliver and Stephen Rolley are in their third year of training at Italia Conti, which represents Intervals ethos, which is to give talented people the breaks they deserve, and to prove that all 'names' start somewhere. This cast, as with all Interval Productions features a mix of West End favourites, along with undiscovered (until now) talent.
The whole AFTER THE TURN experience has been very organic, and the introduction of Sarah Henley as Writer and Director, and Tom Curran as Musical Director, (alongside original lyrics by Robert Gould and additional lyrics by Tori Allen-Martin) has taken the show to a new and exciting level, this is a young, edgy, fast paced, intense, sexy and honest musical, it is raw and though often dark and gritty, it holds promise and some dry British comedy.
This isn't a jazz hands musical, the songs wouldn't sound out of place in your normal ipod playlist and the script tells a real story. This is a powerful play, featuring equally powerful songs. We have a story to tell.
We have the chance to put on a four week run of this fresh and exciting musical and after all of the hard work, blood, sweat and tears that has been poured into the project, we really want to make this the best we possibly can and we intend to go above and beyond, with your help.
Throughout our run we will be holding Q&A sessions, cabarets and parties, as well recording an EP and working towards the release of sheet music for those in training to add to their reps.
Come join us for the ride and let's promote the future of British Contemporary Musical Theatre.
