1720 Records is a brand new record label located in Denton, TX that will feature some of Texas' best independent artists. Our label is not based on genre, but rather artists that share similar values, goals and are willing to participate with each other as a music collective. We hand select our bands with extreme care. At our official launch (August-September), we want to have 7-10 bands and artists with products to support each group. Our website already features a download system and 5 record stores in Texas will carry our albums. We have a great team of people and we're sure with the talent on our label, we will have no problem succeeding in the crowded market. We have already started guerrilla-like advertising here DFW, placing blank CDs with a small unnamed logo that typically contain an full length album from one of our artists. This has raised a lot of questions in certain areas of north Texas and we want to see the advertising campaign through, eventually disclosing our identity as a label to get traffic through our website.
